DevOps / Back-End Developer – London

Our client, a global multi-billion dollar hedge fund is hiring a DevOps / Back-End Developer to drive innovation within its London-based trading infrastructure.

About the Role:

As a DevOps / Back-End Developer, you will play a critical role in optimizing HF trade flow and workflow processes. You’ll work closely with traders, middle-office teams, and technology stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration and continuous enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary technical contact for London-based trading operations.
• Work within a low-code environment (3Forge) to support and enhance HF trade booking workflows.
• Provide backend development expertise, ensuring seamless integration between existing Java components and newer Python/Dash applications.
• Continuously enhance system performance, optimize trade booking workflows, and maintain high reliability.
• Prioritize communication, adaptability, and proactive support for trading operations over pure backend development.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong Python development skills, with some Java exposure.
• HF Trade Flow & Workflow Expertise – experience with trade booking processes in a hedge fund, prop trading firm, or investment bank.
• Excellent Communication – ability to collaborate with traders, field support-related queries, and provide solutions proactively.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability – experience mapping low-code environments to complex trading workflows.
