Front End Developer Junior jobs in United Kingdom

Our client, an innovative and growing PC/Console games studio located in Quebec, is looking for a seasoned Unreal Engine Developer to join their team and contribute to exciting upcoming projects. This position is exclusively for candidates based in the province of Quebec and offers a fully remote working setup.

What you will be doing:

• Architect and implement scalable and efficient solutions for Unreal Engine-based projects.
• Collaborate closely with designers and artists to develop and integrate engaging gameplay features.
• Optimise code to ensure peak performance and stability across multiple platforms.
• Build and maintain development tools and pipelines (such as level editors, animation tools, asset handling, etc.) to streamline team workflows.
• Keep up with emerging technologies and trends in Unreal Engine and game development
• Ensure cross-platform functionality and manage the porting process.

Who you are:

• Over 9 years of experience in game programming, with at least 7 years working in Unreal Engine.
• Expert knowledge of C++ and Blueprints, alongside a strong understanding of software architecture and gameplay design.
• Experience with version control systems (such as Perforce).
• Comfortable working across different areas (architecture, gameplay, tools).
• Strong analytical and debugging abilities.
• Experience with version control systems (such as Perforce).
• Experience with cross-platform development and porting is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is beneficial.
• Knowledge of C# and Unity is a plus.
