Job description

Salary Details: Up to £29,000 DoE

About The Role

This role provides a unique opportunity to get hands on with a wide range of tasks across all areas of the Customer Hub – from supporting the delivery of government schemes, to the management of work distribution, process price changes, provision of reporting updates, and system testing. You’ll get exposure to senior stakeholders across the business, giving you the perfect opportunity to display and develop your technical and stakeholder management skills.

You’ll be key to the delivery of government schemes such as the Warm Home Discount, as well as exciting future propositions such as the Smart Export Tariff and lots more to come. As well as this, you’ll take ownership for some of the regular, mass processing tasks which help the Customer Hub tick, and help us all deliver a seamless experience to our customers.

You will have specific targets and KPIs to be met in line with the company vision which will be key to your personal development.

About the team

The Customer Hub is responsible for almost all customer contact and supporting processes, from sales, to billing, to supporting customers when things go wrong or they need extra help with their energy – it’s the front line for engaging with our customers.

You’ll sit within the Operations Change Team, within the Customer Hub, who deal with all change and insight needs across the Customer Hub. This ranges from delivering government schemes, to operational improvements, and providing insight to stakeholders and regulators.

About You

You will have an excellent eye for detail, with a good knowledge of Salesforce, Junifer and Excel, and a range of Customer Hub processes. You’ll always be on the lookout for how processes can be improved and have the ability to drive these improvements forward with the support of the team around you. You’ll also be comfortable speaking to senior stakeholders, to provide updates on projects, schemes and other updates you’re working on.

What you will do

  • Carry out key tasks to support delivery of projects and government schemes, such as the Warm Home Discount.
  • Perform key data processing and business readiness tasks to support the delivery of price changes.
  • Perform regular uploads to ensure the Customer Hub can easily deliver a seamless experience to customers, keeping us compliant and high-performing.
  • Continually seek opportunities for improvement in everything you do.
  • Drive improvements to our customer health, through supporting with returned mail processes and data cleansing activities.
  • Work with the rest of the Operations Change Team to deliver new processes.
  • Be adaptable to change in a fast paced, ever-changing business with ambitious plans.
  • Take ownership for delivering all asks made of you on time and to specification.
  • Support with the testing of new products and releases, such as Junifer THOR upgrades and Salesforce updates.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across the Customer Hub and wider business.

Knowledge and skills

  • Comfortable with doing (and learning) mass processes, such as file uploads, data loaders and mail merges.
  • Competent user of Excel, Word, Salesforce and Junifer.
  • Adaptable to an ever changing environment.
  • Stakeholder management and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Energy experience, especially relevant to government schemes, is beneficial but not essential.

If you like the sound of the role but don’t meet all the requirements, we encourage you to apply. We are interested in meeting people from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. Come and join our team and be a key part of driving Ecotricity’s green future.

About Us

What's in it for you

  • Healthcare plan, life assurance and generous pension contribution.
  • Volunteering Day.
  • Hybrid Working.
  • Various company discounts (including shops, gyms, days out and events).
  • Holiday of 25 days (plus bank holidays) and ability to buy/sell days.
  • Cycle to work scheme, car pooling and onsite parking available.

As a valued member of the team, you will be supporting the Group Environmental Policy and its associated sustainability objectives and targets.

Flexibility statement

The fast moving nature of the company's business means that from time to time you may be asked to perform duties or tasks outside of your original job description on an ad hoc basis. This allows the company to use its people in the best possible way at all times and helps the employees to make their contribution in a changing environment.

Ecotricity is Britain's greenest energy company. When we started back in 1995, we were the first company in the world to provide a new kind of electricity - the green kind.

Our mission was, and remains, to change the way energy is made and used in Britain - by replacing fossil fuels with clean, renewable energy.

We don't just supply green energy, we use the money from our customers' bills to make it ourselves too - we build windmills, sun parks and green gasmills in Britain. We call this turning 'bills into mills'.

Some of our biggest achievements to date include building Britain's first megawatt windmill and the country's first grid-scale sun park, as well as building our first green gasmill, generating 100% green gas from a source that we will never run out of: grass.

We don't just focus on energy though- we built the Electric Highway, Britain's leading network of electric vehicle charging points; we helped Forest Green Rovers become the greenest football club in the world; and we launched Britain's greenest mobile phone service, Ecotalk, where they use the money from their customers' bills to protect and regenerate Britain's lost rainforests.

Ecotricity is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to providing equality for all.
