Laboratory Technician (Main Laboratory)

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time permanent Laboratory Technician with an industrial food production skill to support our team in the day-to-day running of the business. The Laboratory Technician will be trained on sampling, testing, measuring, and analysing in cooperation with the rest of our laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities for the role

• No aspects of this role require any scientific qualification or experience; this is a post for those who like to be busy with their hands and full training is given.
• Preparing food, water, and environmental swab samples for analysis, including weighing and performing serial dilutions.
• Maintaining accurate sample records relating to incubation times of the Main Laboratory procedure.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sterility of equipment along with general cleaning duties.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday/Tuesday to Saturday, between the hours of 12:30 - 21:00.

By train, there is a small branch line from Temple Meads Station to Portway Park and Ride station, approximately 0.5 miles from our location in Avonmouth.
