Job summary

LANSS is seeking a Zip Wire Operator to join our activities team in the Lake District. You’ll be responsible for running the new zip wire safely and smoothly, ensuring every visitor feels confident, excited, and well looked after from start to finish.

You will fit harnesses, conduct safety checks, attach customers to the system, deliver clear safety briefings, monitor the zip wire and respond quickly to issues, and keep the area safe and well organized in this active outdoor role.

Qualifications

• Experience in outdoor/physical roles is beneficial.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and briefings.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Fit harnesses and safety equipment correctly.
• Carry out safety checks and attach customers to the system.
• Deliver clear, straightforward safety briefings.
• Monitor the zip wire and respond quickly to any issues.
• Keep the area organised, safe, and running efficiently.
• Support other activities and general site operations when needed.
