Overview

Seeking an experienced, flexible, and adaptable maternity nurse for second-time parents based in Kensington, London. Mum is due with twins in February 2025, so the maternity nurse will need to be available from around 5th February for approximately 6 months. The parents are looking for 20/7 cover and are open to hiring a live-in nurse for the entire period or separate day and night nurses, in which case the position will be live-out.

Responsibilities

The parents will be involved when possible. Responsibilities include:

  • All aspects of infant care
  • Maintaining sleep and feeding schedules, assisting Mum with breastfeeding or bottles
  • Preparing purees and baby food, supporting weaning
  • Implementing effective sleep routines
  • Creating an engaging environment
  • Keeping baby's items tidy and organized, managing laundry
  • Planning activities and outings
  • Providing professional guidance respecting family preferences

Qualifications

  • Friendly, personable, with good reading of the room
  • Effective communicator, supportive of parents' preferences
  • Calm, proactive, resourceful, respectful of family space

Requirements

  • Available from early February for 6 months
  • Willing to travel with the family if needed
  • Extensive experience, including with newborn twins, and sterling references
  • Professional and nurturing approach
