Job Description:

Overview

First time parents, based in central London, seek a knowledgeable, warm, and intuitive maternity nurse for their baby due at the start of September. The initial schedule will be 24/7 or 24/6 for the first 4-6 weeks, with a guarantee of at least 12 hours per day, 5 days per week, for the remainder of the contract. The booking will likely be for 3 months.

Job responsibilities will include complete care of the baby including managing baby's sleep and feeding schedules, gently establishing a routine, guiding and supporting both parents in all aspects of newborn care, and generally being a hands-on, calm and supportive presence within the home. The right candidate has a nurturing and caring personality, and is an adaptable team-player, comfortable with the parents being present and involved with the infant's care and development, and receptive to the parents' ideas and input. Please be an excellent communicator (with native or completely fluent English) and preference will be given to candidates who have considerable lactation and sleep-training experience, and who keep completely up to date with the latest research and thinking.
