Job summary

Tiddlywinks Childcare Centre Cyfyngedig is recruiting Relief Childcare Workers on a zero-hours basis to cover increased demand. You will assist in the day-to-day organisation and support the Room Managers, providing safe, stimulating care for children aged 6 weeks to 14 years.

You must hold a Level 3 childcare qualification (or working towards) with relevant experience, good communication, and a flexible team player attitude.

Qualifications

• Essential Level 3 (or higher) childcare qualification or working towards it.
• Experience working with children from 6 weeks to 14 years is essential.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Possession of a First Aid certificate or willingness to undertake the course.
• Flexible approach and reliability for shift coverage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day organisation of Tiddlywinks Childcare Centre.
• Support Room Managers with daily administration and records.
• Administer First Aid as necessary and maintain accurate incident records.
• Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed and care standards maintained.
• Plan and participate in safe, stimulating activities reflecting children's ages.
• Communicate with parents about progress and write brief assessments.
