Our Zero Carbon Living (ZCL) team is dedicated to decarbonising homes through innovative solutions like home efficiency improvements and smart energy management. We aim to lead the UK’s journey to net zero by developing new ideas and partnerships that promote sustainable energy use.

This role in a nutshell:

The Energy Expert Lead will develop and scale our flagship Energy Expert services, focusing on advice, education, and solutions to improve home efficiency (e.g., insulation, heating, solar PV). The role involves shaping our business strategy, managing the P&L, and overseeing the domestic energy advisor teams to ensure engaging and valuable customer experiences.

Your key outcomes will be:

• Scaling and digitalising our in-home energy services, including demand generation, booking, visits, and post-visit communication.
• Developing a comprehensive business strategy and managing demand and supply channels.
• Leading recruitment and scaling of the national DEA team.
• Ensuring high-quality, trustworthy advice and customer satisfaction.
• Creating engaging in-home and digital customer experiences.
• Building operational capabilities to deliver excellent service.
• Collaborating with product, tech, and data teams to enhance customer journeys and data integration.
• Managing budgets, performance metrics, and reporting.
• Representing OVO at industry events and promoting our leadership in green energy solutions.

You’ll be a successful ZCL Commercial Lead (Energy Experts) if you…

• Can design excellent customer experiences and maximize the value of Energy Expert visits.
• Can coordinate product, tech, and data teams to meet strategic goals.
• Have experience in building business cases, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Possess skills in data reporting tools like BigQuery and Tableau (advantageous).
• Have experience developing commercial partnerships and negotiating contracts.
• Have excellent communication and project management skills.
• Are adaptable, proactive, and interested in home decarbonisation measures.
