Youth Worker, Pointers Drop in Centre, Isle of Lewis (4964)
9 hours Per Week, Fixed Term to 31 March 2026
£6,852 - £6,917 per annum, inclusive of £695 per annum Distant Islands Allowance

Required for 9 hours per week on a fixed-term basis of one year to work with young people and volunteers within Pointers Drop-In Centre. This involves developing relationships, identifying needs, and responding to those needs. Assist in planning, delivering, and evaluating structured youth work sessions and youth awards.

You will have proven experience working with young people, the ability to set up and supervise group sessions, and knowledge of health and safety and child protection implications when working with young people. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is essential.

This position is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme concerning regulated work with children.

Salary includes Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment will be at the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
