Job summary

Royal Mencap Society in Omagh is seeking a full-time Youth Worker on a maternity cover basis (6 months, with possible extension) starting in early December. The role supports the Empower to Transform project across Omagh and aims to help young people with learning disabilities realise their potential.

You will deliver engaging youth work programmes, support personal goals, promote inclusion, and act as a positive role model within a PEACEPLUS-funded team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people, especially those with learning disabilities and/or additional needs.
• Ability to deliver engaging youth work programmes and activities.
• Commitment to inclusion, participation and co-production.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative and engaging youth work programmes across Omagh and Fermanagh.
• Support young people to achieve personal goals and develop new skills.
• Promote inclusion and positive relationships across communities.
• Be a positive role model, mentor and advocate for young people.
• Access ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
