Essential criteria:

• • Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment

• • Current National Criminal History Check Certificate

• • First Aid Certificate, preferred but not essential

• • A valid driver’s licence

• • Roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle

• • A qualification in Social Work, Youth Work etc. or willing to obtain one, or considerable industry experience

You will:

• • Provide a safe and secure environment in which young people can thrive

• • Support young people as they transition into and out of our care

• • Support young people to achieve their living skills and Case Plan goals

• • Be an advocate for the young person

• • Have the necessary skills to manage complex behaviours and difficult situations according to the young person’s behaviour management plan

• • Be available for shift work

• • Have strong written and oral communication skills

• • Be an effective team-player, with the ability to work autonomously

• • Undertake ongoing training as identified
