Role Summary

Teaching Personnel is working with a Secondary SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Provision in Darwen to recruit a passionate School Youth Worker. You will support young people with challenging behaviours or SEMH needs, helping them to overcome obstacles that affect their learning and wellbeing.

This role can be demanding, so a strong commitment to helping pupils manage their behaviours and engage in learning is crucial.

Safer Recruitment

All applicants must be willing to undergo standard vetting checks, which include:

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (can be arranged via Teaching Personnel)
  • Two most recent professional references (covering the last 24 months)
  • Overseas Police Check (if applicable – for those who’ve lived outside the UK for 6+ months in the last 5 years)
