Job summary

Manchester Youth Zone in Manchester is seeking a Youth Work Manager - Seniors (11-14's) to oversee universal sessions for 11-14-year-olds. You will plan effectively and manage youth and play workers to deliver safe, fun, development-focused activities.

Successful applicant will have a strong youth/work background, management experience, and a passion for driving excellence across youth programs, with a commitment to inclusion and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Strong youth/play work background with leadership experience.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 in youth work.
• Experience managing teams and delivering open-access sessions.

Responsibilities

• Line manage youth and play workers through supervision and training.
• Lead open-access sessions for 11-14s using national curriculum.
• Ensure sessions are staffed and safe with engaging activities.
• Recruit and induct new staff with HR support.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety, and equal opportunities.
