A youth support organization in England is looking for Progression Coaches to inspire young people towards independent living. Responsibilities include managing coaching sessions, creating support plans, and supporting family reconciliation. You should have at least 2 years of experience in a related role, strong IT skills, and a commitment to the organization's values. Job Purpose
Progression Coaches inspire young people to step outside their comfort zone, develop new skills and behaviours, and move towards independent living. Using youth work and trauma-informed approaches, you will: Listen to and be led by each young person’s needs, ambitions and strengths; champion their ability to acquire skills for a positive, healthy adulthood; act as a reliable, aspirational role model with clear professional boundaries. You will receive high-quality training in emotional literacy, regulation, conflict de-escalation, mental health first aid, safeguarding, wellbeing, financial empowerment, boundaries, creativity, and group skills.
Safeguarding children, young people and adults is everyone’s responsibility. You will undertake appropriate training, DBS checks and supervision, ensuring all concerns are addressed in line with Oxfordshire Youth policies.
