Job summary

Step by Step Partnership Ltd on Havant is seeking a Support Worker to help care for young people. This is a permanent, 37.5‑hour‑per‑week role with a salary of £27,000 plus a sleepover allowance of £5,200 and a shift allowance of £1,200, totaling £33,400 per year.

You will safeguard and support residents, develop individual action plans, advise on housing benefits, run workshops, and work closely with the team to help young people move towards independence.

What You’ll Be Doing

What is Step by Step Looking For?
  • Step by Step is interested in employing people with the right skills and attitude, so previous experience is not necessarily needed.
  • You should be available to work shifts (shift allowance paid) and sleepovers (sleepover allowance paid).
  • As per our commitment to safeguarding children and young people and following safer recruitment guidelines. Applicants who are successful at the first interview stage will be asked to attend a face to face second interview before any offer is made.
  • Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and must provide two references plus other ore employment checks.

There will be two interviews, the first interview being online, if you are successful at the first stage interview you will be invited in for a face to face interview.
