Job summary

Cambian Group plc is seeking dedicated staff to provide advice, assistance and emotional support to young people in care settings. You will safeguard welfare, attend to practical needs and act as a positive role model to help them reach their best potential.

You will work as part of a team, supporting a small group of young people, maintaining care plans, and recording progress for meetings. A full induction and ongoing training are provided; rota includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to travel to and work with young people in residential settings.
• Ability to build positive relationships and provide emotional support.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend to practical childcare tasks (cooking, cleaning).
• Establish positive relationships with young people and provide unconditional, positive regard.
• Meet physical, emotional, behavioural, cultural and educational needs of young people.
• Act as a role model and help address difficulties to unlock potential.
• Support care plans and document progress for planning meetings.
