Job Opportunity: Youth Worker - Safe Spaces (Young Tower Hamlets)

Location: Tower Hamlets, London

Contract Type: Full time/ Part time

Salary: £25.54 UMB (Inclusive of holiday pay) £19.62 PAYE (Exclusive of Holiday pay)

About the Role

As a Youth Worker, you will play a key role in the delivery of youth-led sessions across the borough, providing safe, inclusive, and positive environments for young people aged 11-19 (and up to 25 for those with SEND). These sessions are a core part of Tower Hamlets\' strategy to reduce violence, vulnerability and exploitation among young people.

You\'ll be working in every ward of the borough to ensure that no young person is left without access to:

  • Safe and welcoming spaces to spend time
  • Positive, educational, and creative activities
  • Support and guidance from skilled, trusted youth workers
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging youth work sessions
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with young people
  • Promote the development of young people\'s personal and social skills
  • Identify and support young people at risk of vulnerability or exploitation
  • Signpost to other relevant services when additional support is needed
  • Work in partnership with local services, schools, and community organisations
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety standards are upheld at all times
