Job summary
Blue Sky Fostering is seeking an Individual/Youth Worker in Romsey to deliver Theraputically Led Care Service (TLC). You will provide one-to-one support to young people in community, school or activity settings, building trust and modelling positive behaviour under supervision of a clinical team.
The role requires a driving licence, willingness to travel, enhanced DBS, and flexible hours to meet the needs of young people outside school hours.
Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Enhanced DBS check required
- Experience working with children and young people
- Good understanding of safeguarding issues
- Clear verbal and written communication
- Willing to travel to appointments
- Flexibility to work outside office hours as needed
- Commitment to equality and choosing to improve lives of looked-after children
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one support to young people on the TLC Programme
- Engage in direct work in the community, leisure activities or school settings
- Build positive relationships and help young people feel safe with adults
- Model acceptable behaviour and promote pro-social skills
- Observe and report on social functioning and skill development to the clinical team
- Plan, facilitate and deliver support services and group activities
- Visit foster homes and supervise children at Blue Sky social events
