The Get Safe partnership supports children and young people affected by:

  • Gangs

  • Sexual Exploitation

  • Trafficking

  • Modern Day Slavery

This is a key role in raising awareness of exploitation risks, strengthening pathways of support, and delivering direct interventions to young people who are most vulnerable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with vulnerable children and young people at risk of or experiencing exploitation.

  • Build strong and trusting relationships with young people, families, and professionals to promote positive change.

  • Deliver direct support and interventions to some of the most hard-to-reach individuals.

  • Work in partnership with agencies such as youth services, education, health, and justice to raise awareness of the Get Safe agenda.

  • Map and connect with local youth provision, creating effective referral pathways and upskilling youth workers.

  • Promote understanding among community and partner organisations of how to identify and respond to exploitation.

  • Attend multi-agency meetings, contributing to coordinated safeguarding plans.

  • Support the wider Get Safe team, which includes missing children officers, social workers, link workers, and managers.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience of working with vulnerable children and young people, ideally within the context of exploitation, safeguarding, or youth support.

  • Strong engagement skills, with the ability to connect with hard-to-reach individuals.

  • Experience of multi-agency working and building collaborative partnerships.

  • Knowledge of issues relating to child exploitation, gangs, trafficking, and modern slavery.

  • Confidence in delivering awareness sessions and supporting professionals to recognise risks.

  • A proactive and resilient approach to challenging and sensitive situations.
