Suffolk County Council is seeking a Team Manager in the Youth and Communities Service, based in Lowestoft with hybrid working. The role leads a high‑performing team delivering youth-based services and working with partners to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.

You will oversee service design implementation, safeguarding, budgets and stakeholder collaboration, while driving change and ensuring active involvement of young people and families in shaping services.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing a high-performing team.
• Proven ability to coordinate youth-based provision.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and risk awareness.
• Experience managing resources and budgets.
• Ability to build cross-agency partnerships.
• Excellent planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a high-performing team.
• Develop and coordinate youth-based services.
• Build relationships with Family Help and Suffolk Cares across your geographical area.
• Ensure a consistent approach across the Youth and Communities service.
• Strengthen partnerships with education, health, policing and the voluntary and community sector.
