Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Residential Care Worker for Drylaw House in Edinburgh to support young people with nurturing care and education. The role focuses on building trust, promoting mental and emotional wellbeing, and applying trauma-informed approaches.

You will contribute to safeguarding, work across shifts, and collaborate with a dedicated team to help young people reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Reliable and adaptable with focus on improving outcomes for vulnerable young people.
• Must register with the SSSC within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support and care for children and young people to promote wellbeing.
• Uphold the rights of children and young people and provide a safe environment.
• Work across Early, Late shifts and Nightshifts as needed; weekends/public holidays on a rota.
