Job summary

Phoenix House Children’s Home in Bedlington is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to care for young people aged 9–15. You will work within a committed team to provide safe, supportive care and help young people reach their potential.

The role involves shift work with early/late patterns and some sleeping-in duties. You will complete the Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care and undergo DBS Enhanced Disclosure.

Qualifications

• Diploma Level 3 in Residential Child Care is required.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training.
• Good general education required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for up to three young people aged 9–15 in a residential setting.
• Work to a shift pattern including early/late shifts and some sleeping‑in duties.
• Ensure high‑quality, safe and effective care under the direction of managers.
