Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council invites applications for Residential Childcare Officers in the Wrexham area. Join a team creating a safe, nurturing home and helping children develop life skills and confidence.

Role requires compassion and resilience; shifts include evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Training, career progression and a supportive team are provided, with emphasis on safeguarding and bilingual (English/Welsh) environments.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a care setting (preferred but not essential).
• Resilient, fun and patient approach.
• Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Be present and remain committed, even when times get tough.

Responsibilities
