Leicester City Council – Early Intervention Team is recruiting full-time Prevention Officers to engage with young people at risk of offending across Leicester City. You will deliver targeted 1-1 or group work in homes, schools and community settings, and travel across the city with some home working.

The role involves caseload management, collaboration with police and schools, and providing assessments and interventions to reduce anti-social behaviour.

Qualificações

• Experience with high risk and hard-to-reach young people.
• Able to travel across the city for home and school visits.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver targeted 1-1 or group sessions with young people in homes, schools and the community.
• Manage a small caseload to reduce Anti‑Social Behaviour and other offending behaviours.
• Work closely with the police to gain intelligence and make referrals to other services when necessary.
• Carry out targeted street-based evening work at local hotspots.
• Collaborate with schools and council colleagues to provide advice and interventions.
