Job summary

Business Launchpad is seeking an Outreach & Engagement Specialist to drive a steady pipeline of eligible participants for its programmes in London. You will build and manage referral networks with Jobcentre/DWP, colleges, councils and community groups, and run targeted information sessions and readiness activities.

You will screen candidates for eligibility, guide them through pre-acceptance readiness, and ensure accurate data capture while coordinating with marketing for lead generation.

Qualifications

• Experience in outreach, engagement, youth work or employability programmes.
• Ability to build trust with young adults facing barriers and with referral professionals.
• Strong pipeline/case-management discipline and data accuracy.
• Confidently delivering briefings, tasters and group engagement activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an annual outreach and referral plan.
• Build referral relationships with Jobcentre/DWP, colleges, local authorities and community organisations.
• Run outreach activities, information sessions and readiness events in priority communities.
• Conduct initial eligibility screening and structured readiness conversations.
• Nurture participants from interest to application and ensure timely next steps.
• Maintain accurate data on approved systems and coordinate with Marketing on campaigns.
• Provide smooth handover to participant operations after acceptance.
