Job summary

DrPA Secure is seeking an HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist to deliver specialist OT interventions within the SECURE STAIRS framework at Oakhill STC, focusing on young people aged 12-18 with an offending history.

You will hold a caseload, perform risk assessment, formulate treatment needs and deliver both 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions, working within the MDT to support transitions into secure settings.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered occupational therapist with current registration.
• Sensory integration training (e.g., Ayres SI).
• Experience in neurodevelopmental/specialist assessment with children and young people.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 criteria and autism/ADHD assessment tools.
• ADOS-2/ADI-R training desirable.
• Experience in hospital, community, or prison settings is advantageous.
• Excellent report writing and MDT teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of service users with complex health and social care needs, leading on assessment, formulation of risk and treatment needs, and delivery of both 1:1 and group therapeutic interventions.
• Work as part of the MDT, providing specialist assessments, supervision, and leadership.
