Job summary

London Gypsies and Travellers’ Bright Futures mentoring and employability support programme is seeking a Project Officer to keep the programme organised, connected and running smoothly, managing records and systems, building partnerships, and coordinating workshops and activities for Gypsy and Traveller young people aged 15-25.

You will coordinate outreach, engage colleges, training providers, employers and community organisations, set up a Youth Advisory Group, and support mentees when needed.

Qualifications

• Must be highly organised with strong admin skills.
• Confident in using digital tools and databases.
• Confident communicator for various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate outreach and community engagement to bring young people into the programme.
• Manage day-to-day communications with young people, families and partners.
• Set up and coordinate a Youth Advisory Group.
• Cover mentee support when a mentor is unavailable or at capacity.
