Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Bath is seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor to support pupils with social and emotional development in primary and secondary settings. You will work alongside teachers and staff to help remove barriers to learning, boost wellbeing and build confidence.

Ideal candidates have experience in roles supporting children, such as Teaching Assistant or Youth Worker, and possess patient, empathetic, and proactive approaches, with safeguarding at the forefront.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions, progress, and interventions.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people in line with safeguarding policies.

Are you passionate about supporting pupils with their social & emotional development?

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and resilient Youth Mentor to join a lovely school based in Bath, providing support to children and young people within primary and secondary school settings. Working alongside teachers and school staff, you will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, improve their wellbeing, and develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed both academically and personally.

This role is ideal for someone with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker, Behaviour Mentor, Sports Coach or in a similar child-focused support role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
