Job summary

Ellern Mede Barnet is seeking enthusiastic healthcare assistants to support patients through challenging moments, providing empathy and consistent care in a safe, therapeutic environment.

You will build relationships, support daily care and treatment plans, monitor wellbeing, assist with documentation, and work with the team, families, and external professionals, including handling emotional distress and continuing training.

Qualifications

• GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Math.
• Experience in healthcare, social care, or education setting.
• Basic understanding of mental health and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Building positive, therapeutic relationships with patients.
• Supporting daily care and treatment plans for young people.
• Monitoring wellbeing and recording observations accurately.
• Assisting with documentation and care planning.
• Supporting patients during times of emotional distress.
• Collaborating with families, colleagues, and external professionals.
• Carrying out delegated clinical duties under supervision.
• Engaging in ongoing training and development.
