Job summary

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children and young people
  • Ability to undertake high-quality assessments and reviews
  • Able to devise outcome-focused intervention plans with supervision
  • Strong communication and safeguarding skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of young people subject to youth justice supervision
  • Build and maintain relationships with service users to support engagement
  • Undertake high-quality assessments and reviews using structured tools
  • Devise and implement intervention plans to reduce offending
  • Supervise young people on community sentences or cautions
  • Prepare reports for panels and other forums
  • Communicate effectively within a multi-agency team
  • Represent the Youth Justice Service in court, police stations and custodial settings
  • Maintain accurate case records
  • Undertake restorative justice activities with young people and victims
