Responsibilities

• Support vulnerable young people on an individual and small-group basis, addressing SEMH needs and behavioural challenges.
• Observe and apply restorative practices, de-escalation techniques, and positive behaviour support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral staff, SENCOs, and external agencies such as social care and YOTs.
• Develop professional skills for a career in youth justice, including rapport-building, boundary setting, risk assessment, and report writing.
• Aim to make a real difference by supporting personal development and reducing barriers to education.
