Essex County Council is seeking a Youth Justice Practitioner / Case Manager based in Epping. The role focuses on reducing offending by working with young people, their families, schools and partners to address factors contributing to crime.

You will have experience with young people with complex needs in criminal justice settings, provide high-quality recording on the YJS case management system and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to secure better outcomes for service users.

Qualificações

• Qualified and registered Social Worker with Social Work England or probation studies qualification.
• Experience with children/young people with complex needs in a criminal justice setting.
• Excellent communication and IT literacy; high-quality recording on YJS system.
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage competing demands under pressure; commitment to professional development.
• Ability to challenge young people constructively and work with families and others.
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team across organisational boundaries.

Responsabilidades

• Reduce offending by working with young people, families, schools and partners.
• Represent the Youth Justice Service at multiagency forums to secure better outcomes for young people.
• Work with young people with complex needs and apply relevant legislation in youth justice, social work or probation.
