Job summary

Leicestershire County Council, based at County Hall, Glenfield, LE3 8RA, is seeking a Youth Justice Case Manager for the Youth and Justice Service. This permanent role offers 37 hours per week with a pro rata option for part-time staff.

Youth and Justice Service will support you with training, safeguarding responsibilities, and joint working with partners to deliver child-first interventions and positive outcomes for children and families.

Qualifications

• Qualification level NVQ 3+ and significant experience with children (11+) and families.
• Strong understanding of complex needs in youth justice, including development, trauma and ACEs.
• Ability to capture the voice of the child and family in assessments and records.
• Knowledge of local services to guide families toward appropriate support.
• Experience with targeted interventions to stabilise situations and strengthen family functioning.
• Experience collaborating with professionals to meet identified needs of children and families.
• Safeguarding knowledge and commitment to promoting welfare of the child.

Responsibilities

• Provide child-first approaches to high-risk children in youth justice.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and support engagement.
• Deliver flexible, creative interventions to strengthen life skills and pro-social identity.
• Work with partners to meet the identified needs of children and families.
• Contribute to safeguarding processes and professional boundaries.
