Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde invites applications for the Manager of the city’s Youth Health Service (YHS) within Glasgow HSCP. The post leads a multidisciplinary team delivering clinical and non-clinical support to young people aged 12-19, across nine venues in Glasgow.

Based at Gartnavel Royal Hospital with evening clinics across the city, the role requires strong leadership, governance, data use and partnership working to improve health and wellbeing for young people.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with a post graduate/Masters qualification or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and management competencies alongside experience of operational service management.
• Experience of managing staff, performance and service improvement.
• Excellent communication, leadership and influencing skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
• High level knowledge base and clinical governance to support multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience of working with young people is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Youth Health Service staff team to deliver a high-quality, person-centred service.
• Collaborate with internal and external services and partners to improve youth health outcomes.
• Ensure clear clinical and professional governance arrangements and data-driven improvements.
• Oversee data collection, audits and evaluation of service performance.
