Job summary

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) is recruiting a Band 6 Engagement and Participation Worker on a part-time basis (22.5 hours per week) to lead participation activities county-wide from Capital Court, Exeter. You will develop and facilitate groups, gather feedback, and support staff in participatory approaches.

You will work with children, young people, parents and carers, ensuring voices are heard and feedback informs service improvement, with a focus on wellbeing and inclusive

Qualifications

• Plan, risk assess and run engagement activities with CYP and families.
• Chair meetings virtually and face-to-face.
• Use storytelling to improve understanding of service user experience.
• Build positive working relationships with CFHD staff and partners.
• Train and support staff and service users in co-design and coproduction.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee organisation-wide engagement activities and co-design projects with service users.
• Plan and support regular CFHD participation groups for children and young people and parents and carers.
• Recruit and support participation volunteers using community engagement skills.
• Use storytelling as a tool to increase participation and understanding of service user experience.
• Support people with Lived Experience when participating in involvement activities.
