Job summary

Wyberton St Leodegar's Church is seeking a Children, Youth & Families Worker to lead and develop ministries for children, young people and their families. The role is based at Wyberton St Leodegar's Church and invites you to build on existing foundations while creating new initiatives that help young people encounter Jesus.

You'll lead with energy and creativity, modelling a vibrant Christian faith, recruiting volunteers, and collaborating with church leaders and families to inspire faith

Qualifications

• A vibrant and active Christian faith.
• Experience of working with children and/or young people.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate, encourage and develop volunteers.
• Energy, creativity and initiative.
• Good organisational and administrative skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop our work with children, young people and families both within the church and the wider community.
• Work with church leaders, volunteers and families to build meaningful relationships and grow ministries.
• Recruit, train and support a thriving volunteer team.
• Play an active role in church worship, services and community outreach.
• Create opportunities for young people to explore and deepen their Christian faith.
• Help shape the future vision for children, youth and family ministry.
