Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking an experienced Team Leader for Youth, Family and Community Learning (YFCL). The role leads a team delivering high‑quality services that support young people, families and communities to engage in learning and development.

The post requires operational leadership, supervision and a commitment to inclusion, social justice and lifelong learning. Based across South Lanarkshire, with 35 hours per week and a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, managing and developing teams.
• Strong commitment to inclusion and community learning.
• Knowledge of Community Learning and Development (CLD) and partnership working.
• Ability to plan, monitor and evaluate services.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across youth, family and community learning programmes.
• Manage performance, quality and resources across establishments.
• Lead, supervise staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality provision.
• Build partnerships with schools and community organisations to maximise outcomes.
