Job summary

The Pelham in Bexhill is seeking a Young People Lead / Youth Work Manager for a full-time, on-site role. You will plan, deliver, and oversee youth-focused programs to support wellbeing, personal development, and community engagement.

You will build positive relationships with young people, coordinate activities and one-to-one support, and ensure safe spaces in line with safeguarding policies. Work with families, schools and partners to develop projects and report outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in youth work or community work with young people.
• Ability to plan and deliver youth activities and sessions.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and oversee youth-focused programs, sessions and events.
• Coordinate group activities and one-to-one support for young people.
• Build positive relationships and ensure safe, welcoming spaces.
• Collaborate with families, schools and partner agencies to design activities.
• Contribute to reporting, funding applications and project development.
• Promote The Pelham’s values and strengthen community links.
