Job summary

Murray’s Initiative is seeking a part-time Young Person’s Employment Advisor to support young people toward training, education or work. The role involves one-to-one coaching, group activities and a focus on recovery with tailored personal development, emotional and practical support. PVG scheme membership is required.

The post is based at the Head Office in North Claremont Street with flexible working options; fixed term to 31st March 2027, pro rata salary from £26,002 per annum.

Qualifications

• Experience in employability support or voluntary sector.
• Track record of helping people into sustained work.
• Experience running Job Clubs and CV/ application support.
• Experience delivering mock interviews and employability workshops.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support through phone, in-person, and virtual meetings.
• Help young people explore skills and plan routes to training, education, or employment.
• Offer guidance on job searching, applications and interview process.
• Deliver targeted activities to meet employability goals and contractual targets.
• Coordinate action plans and review progress with participants.
