Job summary

Compass is recruiting an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Derby Early Intervention Targeted Support Service, delivering early intervention and goal-focused emotional wellbeing support across Derbyshire.

You will work with children, young people, families and schools to carry out wellbeing assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions and promote positive outcomes while safeguarding at the core.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in emotional wellbeing, youth work, psychology or counselling.
• Experience delivering emotional health or pastoral wellbeing support to children and young people.
• Experience working therapeutically with children and young people with low level emotional health needs.
• Experience supporting families to build skills and confidence in managing mild mental health needs.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, capacity and consent, including Gillick competence.
• Experience working with schools, families and partner agencies.
• Ability to deliver therapeutic emotional wellbeing interventions and advise families.
• Ability to recognise and manage risk and respond appropriately.
• Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills.
