Job summary

Manchester City’s Academy is seeking a dedicated coach to support the Youth Development Phase. You will assist the lead age-group coach in planning and delivering age-appropriate training and matchday coaching to help players progress within the Club’s football philosophy.

You will contribute to learning plans, work with multidisciplinary teams and engage with parents/guardians as part of a collaborative approach to talent development and pathway progression at City.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching players within the Youth Development Phase in an Academy environment.
• Ability to identify, develop and support football talent through age-appropriate coaching and individual learning plans.
• Knowledge of Youth Development Phase player development and how to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions for Youth Development Phase players.
• Support matchday coaching to aid player progression and understanding of Manchester City style of play.
• Contribute to individual learning plans and development programmes addressing technical, tactical, physical and psychological needs.
• Collaborate with Academy colleagues, scouting and recruitment teams, and players’ parents/guardians; support delivery across Academy age groups.
