The King's Trust is seeking a Youth Development Lead – Enterprise to support young entrepreneurs through the Enterprise programme, helping them develop ideas, write business plans and launch ventures in a dynamic community. The role requires travel within the local area and delivery across online, in-centre or community settings.

This fixed-term post runs until 30 June 2027, based in Leeds with hybrid working (minimum 3 office days per week).

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education or employment settings.
• Ability to plan and run business-start activities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a caseload of young people to develop business ideas and work toward start targets.
• Deliver enterprise sessions in online, in-centre or community settings.
• Create robust business plans, cash flow forecasts and survival budgets.

As a Youth Development Lead – Enterprise, your mission is to be the driving force behind young entrepreneurs' success stories. TheEnterpriseprogramme’s aim is to support young people interested in self-employment to explore and test their ideas, write business plans and start their own businesses or achieve alternative outcomes in education, training, volunteering or work.

You'll be the guiding light for a caseload of young people, helping them successfully launch their business ideas and work towards those vital business start targets. We also won’t have you sitting still as travel will be required, exploring your local area to assist in the programme delivery of our Exploring Enterprise course as needed. The delivery can be a mix of online, in-centre or out in the community.

Crafting robust and viable business plans will be your forte. Cash flow forecasts, personal survival budgets, and sector-specific insights are all part of your toolkit. Plus, your knack for providing positive and constructive feedback will help these ideas flourish. Funding applications? You've got it covered!
