Job summary

Dorset Youth is seeking a capable and organised lead for The Reef Youth Club, primarily on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. You will plan safe, engaging activities and work with part-time staff and volunteers to deliver high quality youth provision across Dorset.

The role involves coordination with the Youth Development Manager and the wider Dorset Youth team, plus helping young people access opportunities like the Skills Passport and Youth Voice programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people in a youth, community, sport, arts, education or similar setting.
• Ability to plan and run activities with groups of young people.
• Experience in managing, supervising or supporting staff, volunteers or sessional workers.
• Strong communication with parents, carers, partners and community organisations.
• Calm, fair and professional approach to behaviour, safeguarding and boundaries.
• Commitment to inclusion, youth voice and helping young people thrive.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate The Reef Youth Club on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
• Plan and deliver positive, safe and engaging activities for young people.
• Support and coordinate part-time staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with Dorset Youth Development Manager and team to support other clubs and partners.
• Help young people access opportunities such as Skills Passport, Young Leaders and Youth Voice programmes.
• Support safeguarding, records, session planning and quality of delivery.
