The Role You'll Play

As a Youth Community Services (YCS) Team Leader at Pawnee, you’ll take on a dual role: providing direct case management services to youth with severe emotional disturbances, while also leading and mentoring a team of case managers. In your clinical work, you’ll empower youth and families to connect with community resources, set meaningful treatment goals, and navigate challenges toward personal success.

As a team leader, you’ll also collaborate with your supervisor to support staff development, monitor service delivery, and foster team competency. From coordinating training to supporting your peers through crisis response, you’ll help shape the quality and consistency of care we provide to our communities.

The Day-to-Day

  • Provide direct case management services to youth and their families, including identifying treatment goals, developing care plans, and linking clients to community supports.
  • Build trusting relationships with clients and families to support progress toward stability and well-being.
  • Document services in the electronic health record and ensure timely and accurate updates.
  • Help clients and families maintain access to essential benefits and services.
  • Supervise a designated team of case managers, offering guidance and feedback to ensure agency standards are met.
  • Support new team members with onboarding and training, and help develop team competency through supervision and shared learning.
  • Monitor team documentation and productivity to ensure timely service delivery and adherence to expectations.
  • Attend and actively participate in clinical supervision, program staffings, and community/state-level meetings.
  • Assist in hiring and disciplinary actions in collaboration with your supervisor.
  • Provide leadership during crisis situations as needed and help promote team collaboration and resilience.

At Pawnee Mental Health, we take a great deal of pride in the services we offer, and the progress made by those we serve. All employees, regardless of their role, are an important part of our success! To help us achieve our mission, we’re looking for bright and talented people with great ideas.
