Job summary

Kirklees is recruiting an Assistant Group Leader to support the Young People’s Activity Team across Kirklees. You will help organise sessions, engage with parents, carers and community providers, and remove participation barriers for children and young people with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children, either paid or voluntary
• Working knowledge of person-centred planning and delivery

Responsibilities

• Assist in organising and delivering the Young People’s Activity Team sessions and work with parents, carers and community activity providers to identify and overcome barriers to participation.
• Provide person-centred support to ensure young people are able to access a range of activities while achieving outcomes to improve their quality of life.
• Experience of working with children (paid or voluntary) and knowledge of person-centred planning and delivery is required.
