A community support organization in Blackpool is looking for a Young Persons Resettlement Officer to enhance the life chances of vulnerable young people. You will manage a supported accommodation home, providing essential care and support while ensuring safety. Ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and experience working with at-risk youth. This fixed-term position offers a competitive salary and requires flexibility for various shifts.
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in Blackpool on a fixed-term basis, helping to improve the life chances of vulnerable young people. This role involves providing essential staff coverage at our 24-hour Ofsted-registered supported accommodation home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for those in need.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with a confident manner and will have the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will have demonstrable experience working with young people with support needs. Knowledge of young people's rights and a clear understanding of professional boundaries is essential.
You must have 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English. Flexibility is required as travel across sites may be necessary. A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce is desirable but not essential. The role involves covering regular sleep-in duties, evening, weekend, and bank holiday work to ensure service delivery, requiring flexibility.

Fixed Term - Maternity Cover, 37 hours per week, including a rota with sleep-in duties (approximately 7 per month at £43.12 per sleep). Basic Salary: Scale 6: £32,061 - £33,699 per annum, with potential to earn an additional £5,000 annually through enhanced payments for sleep-ins, weekend, and bank holiday work.
