Precedo Healthcare is recruiting dedicated Young Person's Support Workers to join our residential services in Glossop and the surrounding areas. What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting Daily Activities: You'll help young people engage in a wide range of activities, both inside the service and in the community, to promote their independence, fun, and development.

Building Positive Relationships: Use your excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills to connect with and understand the young people in your care, helping them feel safe and valued.

Supporting Personal Care Needs: Assist with personal care in a respectful and compassionate manner, maintaining dignity and privacy at all times.

De-escalating Challenging Situations: With your calm and patient approach, you'll successfully handle and de-escalate any challenging situations to ensure a safe and supportive environment.

What We're Looking For:

To succeed in this rewarding role, we're looking for someone who:

Has Excellent Communication Skills: Both verbal and non-verbal communication are key to building trust and connecting with young people.

Understands Specific Conditions: A good understanding of conditions such as Autism, developmental delays, and physical disabilities - and the emotional impact these can have on children and families.

Can Handle Challenging Situations: You'll need to stay calm under pressure and use your de-escalation skills to manage difficult situations effectively.

Has Personal Care Experience: You should be comfortable supporting personal care needs with sensitivity and respect.

Has a Fully Enhanced Child and Adult DBS: Or is willing to fund one if necessary.

Is a Driver (Preferred): Access to your own vehicle is advantageous due to the location of the services.
