About the role
As a Young Offenders Support Worker, you will be providing support and building relationships with the pupils at the school by providing emotional consistency to allow pupils to feel safe and supported in the school community. You will aim to encourage and enthuse the pupils to participate in all school activities to their best abilities and provide them with positive reinforcement to increase their confidence.

The environment in which you will be working is in a Special School in Wakefield, West Yorkshire that caters for children between the ages of 5 to 16 with speech, language and communication difficulties, autism, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
The family orientated school provides a safe space for pupils to develop a range of skills that create a strong foundation for adulthood. The schools aim is to foster and nurture resilience and teach the skills children need to manage the children's own mental health.

Salary
£90 to £112 per day
