Job summary

WithYou in Wigan and Leigh seeks a Young Ambassador aged 16-25 to support recovery services at both sites. You will engage with diverse clients, help at outreach events, and participate in panels, mentoring and co-production activities.

You will learn on the job, driven by compassion, enthusiasm and teamwork. Travel between Wigan and Leigh is required, and the role is paid at youth wage rates (£8.00–£12.71 per hour).

About the Role

Join our team as a Young Ambassador in Wigan and Leigh. Our Wigan and Leigh services are looking for Young Ambassadors, aged 16-25, to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse client group. In this role you'll be required to work across both the Wigan and Leigh offices and you must be able to travel to both sites. If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people's lives for the better, we'd love to hear from you. As a leading charity supporting people with drug, alcohol, and mental health challenges, we operate over 80 services across England and Scotland, providing free and confidential support to more than 100,000 people each year.

Roles and responsibilities

• Local outreach events, such as stalls at colleges and Pride events
• Interview panels
• Administration tasks to support the service

Rate of pay

• Under 18 years of age - £8.00 per hour
• Aged 18 to 20 - £10.85 an hour
• Aged 21 or over - £12.71 an hour
